Cairo-Born Instabug Rebrands as Luciq, Launches 'Agentic Mobile Observability'
The Y Combinator alumnus, backed by Accel and Insight Partners, rebranded to Luciq.ai, pivoting from bug tracking to AI agents that detect, diagnose and fix mobile-app issues in production.
On 24 September 2025, Cairo-founded Instabug rebranded as Luciq.ai, unveiling a category it calls 'agentic mobile observability' at DroidCon Berlin. Founded in 2012 by Omar Gabr and Moataz Soliman, the company evolved from a mobile bug-reporting SDK into an AI-native platform whose agents proactively detect, diagnose, resolve and validate app issues.
Backed by Accel and Insight Partners with more than $50m raised, including a $46m Series B in 2022, Luciq serves mobile engineering teams globally from its Egyptian roots. The rebrand signals a bet that observability becomes proactive, with AI agents acting as extensions of mobile teams.
