In May 2025, Dubai-based DP World announced a $2.5bn investment programme for the year to expand its global ports and logistics network. Projects include a $510m terminal at Tuna Tekra in India, deep-sea ports in the DR Congo (Banana) and Senegal (Ndayane, about $830m), a berth expansion at Ecuador's Posorja, and $1bn for new berths and a rail terminal at London Gateway.
The programme responds to rising demand for resilient, integrated supply chains along key East-West and global trade corridors, reinforcing the Emirati group's footprint across emerging and developed markets.
