Dubai's Tokinvest Raises $3.2m Pre-Seed and Wins VARA Multi-Asset Tokenisation Licence
The real-world-asset marketplace secured Dubai's first full multi-asset issuance licence alongside its pre-seed round.
Tokinvest, a UAE-based regulated marketplace for real-world-asset tokenisation, has closed a $3.2 million pre-seed round backed by VCs, family offices and high-net-worth investors including Triliv Holdings and Exponential Science.
Founded in 2024 by Scott Thiel and Matthew Blom, Tokinvest creates virtual tokens representing rights to assets, connecting issuers with investors through its marketplace. The company said it had received a full multi-asset issuance licence from Dubai's Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority, allowing it to operate as a virtual-asset broker-dealer.
The firm's debut tokenisation project, a racehorse offered in partnership with Evolution Stables, sold out, and it plans to roll out tokenised property assets.
Tokinvest has also signed partnerships with firms including Singapore's InvestaX and UK-based API Global.
