Egypt's Blnk Raises $37M ($12.5M Equity) Series A Led by Algebra Ventures
Egyptian point-of-sale consumer financing platform Blnk has closed a $37 million Series A, comprising $12.5 million in equity and $24.6 million in debt. The equity round was led by Algebra Ventures. The capital will fund product expansion, new markets and a planned credit card
Blnk operates a point-of-sale consumer financing platform that uses proprietary algorithms and machine-learning models to issue credit decisions in roughly three minutes with minimal documentation. The equity portion of the round drew SANAD Fund for MSME, Endeavor Catalyst and Emirates International Investment Company, while the debt facility was backed by Suez Canal Bank, Bank Albaraka, National Bank of Egypt, Corplease, Globalcorp and BM Lease.
The company says it has onboarded more than one million customers since its November 2022 seed round and reached profitability in 2025 with 173% year-on-year revenue growth. Proceeds will go toward broadening its product set, expanding technology capabilities, exploring new markets and launching a credit card programme.
