Moroccan Property Portal Mubawab Gains New Majority Owner in Africa Property Portals
Leading North African real-estate portal Mubawab has taken on Africa Property Portals as its new majority shareholder as Dubizzle Group divests.
Mubawab, the leading property portal in Morocco and Tunisia, has welcomed a new majority shareholder and parent company, Africa Property Portals, as part of an ambitious technological renewal.
The new owner, which is focused on building next-generation real-estate portals across Africa, is pursuing a pan-African vision with plans for further investment in regional platforms.
Under the new ownership, Mubawab has intensified its focus on technology and AI, rolling out features including automated listing management, price estimates and a recommendation engine.
The change follows the divestment by Dubizzle Group (formerly EMPG), which had held a majority stake in Mubawab since 2018.
