Saudi Cybersecurity Startup COGNNA Secures $9.2M Series A to Accelerate Global Expansion
The Riyadh-based firm behind an AI-driven security operations centre platform raised a $9.2 million Series A, building on an earlier $2.25 million round, to speed threat detection and expand internationally.
COGNNA, a Saudi cybersecurity company offering an AI-driven security operations centre (SOC) platform, closed a $9.2 million Series A round announced on 3 December 2025. The company's autonomous agents accelerate threat detection, incident response and compliance for enterprises and government bodies.
The round builds on a $2.25 million investment led by Impact46 announced in November 2023. COGNNA said the new capital will accelerate its global expansion and deepen the AI capabilities of its platform, which correlates security signals and automates analyst workflows to shorten response times.
Founded by Ibrahim Alshamrani, COGNNA is part of a wave of Saudi cybersecurity firms scaling as the Kingdom invests heavily in digital infrastructure and national cyber resilience under Vision 2030. The company positions its agent-based SOC as a way for under-resourced security teams to keep pace with a rising volume of threats.
