Seafood Souq Signs MoU With Sustainable Fisheries Partnership to Boost MENA Traceability
The UAE seafood-traceability platform and the Sustainable Fisheries Partnership agreed to make regional seafood supply chains more transparent and responsible.
Seafood Souq, the UAE-based seafood-traceability platform, has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Sustainable Fisheries Partnership (SFP) to strengthen traceability across the Middle East and North Africa.
The two organisations formalised the collaboration at Seafood Expo Global in Barcelona, committing to make seafood supply chains more transparent, traceable and responsible.
The agreement extends Seafood Souq's work on digital fisheries traceability, which has included partnerships in the UAE to bring landing validation, digital catch certification and real-time data tracking to the sector.
Seafood Souq has said it plans to roll out its traceability framework more widely as it builds a unified digital approach to sustainable fisheries management.
