Saudi VC Impact46 Deploys $6.6m Across Five Gaming Studios From Its $40m Gaming Fund
The firm expands its games portfolio to seven studios spanning mobile, PC, console and VR as Saudi Arabia pushes to build a home-grown gaming industry.
Saudi venture capital firm Impact46 has invested $6.6 million across five gaming studios as it accelerates deployment from its dedicated $40 million Gaming Fund, launched in March 2024. The investments deepen the firm's bet on interactive entertainment as a strategic growth sector for the Kingdom.
The capital was spread across Riyadh-based hybrid-casual studio Fahy, Saudi mobile studio NJD, Beirut and San Francisco-based Game Cooks, Saudi indie studio Starvania and Istanbul-based Alpaka Games. The deals span mobile, PC, console, virtual reality and hybrid-casual titles, and expand Impact46's active gaming portfolio to seven companies, following earlier 2025 investments in Spoilz and Spekter Games.
"We see gaming as more than a sector; it's a language of youth, culture, and creation," said Basmah Alsinaidi, managing partner at Impact46, framing the strategy around both financial returns and the development of culturally localised content aimed at global audiences.
The investments align with Saudi Arabia's national ambitions to build a domestic games industry and attract studios and talent, part of a wider diversification push that has channelled sovereign and private capital into entertainment, esports and content creation.
