Arabic Edtech almentor Raises $10m Pre-Series C Led by e& Capital
The Arabic online video-learning platform picks up strategic backing from e& to grow its consumer business and push into Saudi Arabia.
almentor, one of the largest Arabic-language online video-learning platforms, has raised $10 million in a pre-Series C funding round led by e& Capital, the investment arm of UAE telecoms group e&. The round brought a major regional strategic investor onto the cap table.
Existing backers including Sawari Ventures, Egypt Ventures, Partech, Endure Capital and Sango Capital also participated. almentor offers thousands of courses delivered by expert instructors in Arabic, spanning professional development, personal skills and academic subjects, and serves both individual learners and enterprise clients across the region.
The company said it would use the funding to deepen investment in its business-to-consumer segment and expand its presence in Saudi Arabia, the region's largest consumer market. Backing from e& Capital was expected to open distribution and bundling opportunities across the telecom operator's large subscriber base.
The raise underscored investor conviction that localised, Arabic-first content can unlock a large and underserved online-learning market, at a time when Gulf governments are prioritising workforce upskilling and digital education.
