Egypt's Dsquares Acquires Majority Stake in F&B Loyalty Startup Prepit
The loyalty-solutions provider is folding in Prepit's AI-driven F&B technology to widen its customer-engagement offering.
Egyptian loyalty-solutions company Dsquares has acquired a majority stake in Prepit, a B2B SaaS platform focused on streamlining food-and-beverage operations, for an undisclosed amount.
Founded in 2012 by Ayman Essawy, Marwan Kenawy and Momtaz Moussa, Dsquares builds tailored loyalty programmes for banks, telecom operators, FMCG firms and retailers. Prepit, launched in 2022 by Karim Hussein and Tarek Afia, provides AI-driven tools for the F&B sector.
Dsquares chief executive Marwan Kenawy said integrating Prepit's technology would strengthen the company's customer-engagement capabilities as it targets growth in Egypt's expanding loyalty and foodservice markets.
The deal is part of a broader push by Dsquares to scale after securing investment from Algebra Ventures and Ezdehar.
