Egypt's Grinta Acquires Citi Clinic With Backing From Beltone and Raed Ventures
The pharma marketplace is moving into physical care, adding a primary-healthcare chain as it pivots to a hybrid provider.
Egyptian digital-pharmacy platform Grinta has acquired Citi Clinic, one of Egypt's primary-healthcare service chains, alongside a strategic investment led by Beltone Venture Capital and Raed Ventures.
The move marks Grinta's transition from a B2B pharmaceutical marketplace toward a hybrid healthcare provider spanning online and offline services. The company said the Citi Clinic acquisition gives it access to more than 150,000 patients and marks its entry into the care sector.
Founded in 2021 by Mohamed Azab, Yosra Badr, Ali Youssef and Hamza Mohamed, Grinta previously raised an $8 million seed round co-led by Raed Ventures and Nclude.
The company framed the deal as a step toward integrating pharmaceutical distribution with direct patient care.
