Investcorp said it had led a $130m pre-IPO round in Salla, the Saudi SaaS platform that lets merchants build and run online stores with integrated payments, logistics and point-of-sale. The round drew Sanabil Investments, wholly owned by the Public Investment Fund, and STV, an existing shareholder.
Founded in Makkah in 2016, Salla powers tens of thousands of active merchants across Saudi Arabia and the wider region and is preparing for a public listing. The deal marked one of Investcorp's higher-profile technology bets in the Kingdom.
