Kuwait's Kamco Invest Acquires Stake in Saudi Restaurant-Tech Firm Foodics
Kamco Invest's private-equity arm took an undisclosed stake in Foodics ahead of a planned Tadawul listing, as the cloud POS platform eyes an IPO within two to three years.
Kamco Invest announced on 28 July 2025 that its private-equity division had, on behalf of clients, acquired an undisclosed stake in Foodics, the Riyadh-based cloud restaurant-management and payments platform. The investment closed in Q4 2024, with legal and regulatory steps concluded ahead of the announcement.
The deal comes as Foodics prepares for a potential IPO on Saudi Arabia's Tadawul within two to three years, following its $170m Series C led by Prosus and Sanabil in 2022. Foodics reported roughly $6bn in gross merchandise value and 29% revenue growth in the first half of 2025.
