Saudi Vacation-Rental Startup Darent Closes Seed Round Led by Tawuniya Insurance

Darent, the Saudi vacation-rental platform, closed a seed round led by insurer Tawuniya on 18 September 2024, with participation from the Morgan Stanley Inclusive Ventures Lab and BIM Ventures. The amount was undisclosed; Darent has raised about $1 million across two rounds since 2022.
Founded in 2021, Darent says occupancy on its platform surpasses 90% during peak seasons. The company plans to invest in AI to deliver personalised recommendations from market data and to expand locally and across the wider region.
